TRANSCRIPTIONS AND DATABASES
This site is divided into two sections: transcriptions and databases.
TRANSCRIPTIONS
Transcriptions include typed version of documents (such as pension papers, wills, bible records, etc.) and county indexes (such as the index to White County, TN Will Book). The contents of these transcribes may be searched using the site search on the Home page. Below is a list of sections with avaible transcriptions.
- Bible Records - transcriptions of Family Bible Records
- Cemeteries - transcriptions of some of Putnam, Jackson, and White County, Tennessee Cemeteries
- Census Records - transcriptions of the 1880 Jackson County Census - District 11
- Court Records - transcription of the index to the Chancery/Circuit Loose Records and Guardian Records of Jackson County, Tennessee and transcriptions of various court cases
- Deeds - transcriptions of various family deeds
- Marriage Records - transcriptions of miscellaneous Jackson and Putnam County, Tennessee marriage records
- Military Records - transcriptions of various military pension applications and personal abstracts of some of Confederate Veterans of Putnam County
- Obituaries - transcriptions of obituaries found in early editions of the Cookeville Free Press and Putnam County Herald
- Taxes - transcriptions of tax records for Putnam County, Tennessee
- Voter Records - transcriptions of the 1891 Enumeration of Male Citizens for White and Putnam Counties, Tennessee
- Wills - transcriptions of the index to Putnam County Will Book 6 and White County Will Book G and transcriptions of various wills
DATABASES
Databases are a collection of records that may be searched using the appropriate search interface. Only those records that match the search criteria are displayed.
- Death Records Database - a collection of over 12,000 death records for Jackson, Putnam and White Counties. They cover the years 1908 - 1946 (excluding 1913).
- Marriage Records Database - a collection of marriage records for Putnam County.
- Deed Database - an index to several of the Putnam County deed books
