NASH, ERNEST: Death visited our community (Burton) on the 29th, and claimed for its victim Ernest, the five year old son of L. P. Nash. The bereaved ones have the heartfelt sympathy of the entire community. [Date: 3/9/1904, Vol. II, No. 5, Page 3]

NASH, JOE: Joe Nash died October 17. He leaves three daughters and two sons to mourn his loss. [Date: 10/26/1911, Vol. IX, No. 43, Page 7]

NASH, ZERA: It grieved our hearts to hear of the death of Mrs. Zera Nash of Deer Lodge. [Date: 1/16/1913, Vol. XI, No. 3, Page 3]

NATION, BERT: Mr. Bert Nation of 2214 St., Garvan Ave. was run down and instantly killed by L. & N. switch engine here in Howell (IN) today. The writer (John Warren) help pull the corpse from the cars. Oh! How sad his wife and two little tots felt when they arrived at the scene. Funeral services at Oak Hill cemetery Monday at 10:30. NEAL, MRS. J. H.: Mrs. J. H. Neal died at her home a few miles north of town Sunday night. She was a member of the Baptist church for many years. She is survived by her husband and several grown children. [Date: 12/25/1913, Vol. XI, No. 52, Page 3]

NICHOLAS, DAISY MOORE: Daisy Moore Nicholas was born July 9th, 1904, and died Sept. 24, 1905. Her sweet disposition won the hearts of those around her, and it was sad to give up this precious child. But God in His great wisdom knoweth best. He never makes any mistakes and as the heart of father and mother of little Daisy is left torn and bleeding, it is a blessed thought to know Jesus said, "I came to bind up the broken heart." . . . NICHOLAS, HENRY M.: Henry M. Nicholas, one of Putnam county's oldest citizens passed away at his home on Falling Water Sept. 10, 1912, in his 80th year. He had been a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian church about 50 years. His widow two sons and one daughter survive him. The funeral service was conducted at Salem by Rev. W. W. Baxter in the presence of a large number of friends and relatives. [Date: 9/12/1912, Vol. X, No. 37, Page 4]

NICHOLAS, LIDA: The angels of heaven have visited our community and selected as their choice Mrs. Lida Nicholas. She had only been in our community one year and four days. She was 48 years old. She was called away June 21, 1910. Death came to her very unexpectedly, almost in a moment. The cause of her death was dropsy of the heart. She has two sisters at Des Moines, Iowa. . . . NICHOLAS, MRS. J. E.: Mrs. J. E. Nicholas died at her home on Route 6 on June 21, 1910, and was buried at Salem. [Date: 6/30/1910, Vol. VIII, No. 26, Page 5]

NOAH, LUCILE: Lucile Noah, the darling baby of Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Noah, died Thursday morning, June 19th. The little one was only in their home one year and eleven days. The dear baby was loved by all. She was very sick for two months and suffered terribly, and Thursday morning about five o'clock the darling closed her eyes in death and the dear Saviour took her to Heaven, where she is now a sweet and shining angel. The remains were buried in the Greeneville cemetery. She has left a sad home and a broken hearted mother. (Greeneville) [Date: 6/26/1913, Vol. XI, No. 26, Page 1]

NOAH, MRS. JAMES: Mrs. James Noah die at her home in this city June 18, 1908, and was laid to rest in the city cemetery. [Date: 6/24/1908, Vol. VI, No. 21, Page 1]

NORRIS, AMANDA: Mrs. Amanda Norris died last week. We extend our sympathy to the bereaved. [Date: 6/17/1909, Vol. VII, No. 24, Page 5]

NORRIS, AMANDA: Obituary -- To the memory of my mother: On Wednesday, June 9th, 1909, the angel of death visited our old home and took from us our mother, Mrs. Amanda Norris, aged 66 years, 2 months and 11 days. For four years she had been suffering with that dread disease, rheumatism and had been helpless as a little baby, unable to turn herself in bed. She suffered untold agony but she bore her suffering with much patience and said if it was the Lord's will she was willing to stay on and suffer a while longet (sic) for him he had suffered and died on the cross for her, and he willeth not the death of any but that all might live. . . . NORRIS, EMILY: Mrs. Emily Norris died at her home Saturday Oct. 26, 1907, leaving a husband and two children to mourn her loss. We extend our deepest sympathies to the bereaved family. [Date: 10/31/1907, Vol. V, No. 35, Page 4]

NORRIS, JOE: Joe Norris of the third district died Oct. 17, 1911, age about 75 years. He was buried at the Bohannon graveyard. [Date: 10/19/1911, Vol. IX, No. 42, Page 8]

NORRIS, MISS WILLIE: Again the angel of death has visited our community, and claimed for its victim Miss Willie Norris. She had been suffering for several months with that dread disease, consumption. When our Saviour saw that she had done enough here on earth and so He called her up higher. Willie was 19 years and 13 days old. She was a member of the M. E. Church and a true christian, a good girl and well loved by all her friends and schoolmates, she bore her suffering very patiently. Willie prepared for death, she knew she could not get well and said she was ready, there was nothing in her way. We will say to the bereaved family not to weep for Willie for we believe she is one of the angles (sic) around the great white throne. [Date: 5/9/1907, Vol. V, No. 10, Page 1]

NORROD, SMITH: Dear Editor and Readers: So sorry to tell you this morning two of our good old friends have been called away from our midst since my last writing, Uncle Magg Looper and Smith Norrod. Both belonged to the Baptist Church and have been working for their master ever since Jesus let the dawn of morning awaken them to the true love of God and gave them peace and joy, which we feel that they are now enjoying on God's right hand. Mr. Looper was buried yesterday at the Speck graveyard and Mr. Norrod Saturday at Clark Range. [Date: 10/13/1910, Vol. VIII, No. 41, Page 1]

NUNALLY, GEORGIA A.: Georgia A. Nunally, daughter of Rev. G. W. Nunally, died at Baxter, Oct. 29, 1903, aged 14 years. We have received an obituary notice from Rev. E. W. Stone which is crowded out of this issue. [Date: 11/4/1903, Vol. I, No. 39, Page 1]
